History

The chapel at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge was originally designed by architect James Essex in 1776–1782, remodelled in the Gothic style by Sir Jeffry Wyatville in 1833, and significantly rebuilt, lengthened, and given its current Neo-Wren interior by architect Thomas Henry (T. H.) Lyon between 1910 and 1923.
